12x50 vs 15x56

I'm in the market for some high end glass. I want just one set up while hunting, getting tired of packing a heavy pack. So are the new 12x50 swarovision worth the extra $900 over the 15 slc's?? I'm also looking at the 15 Leica geovids. But have always preferred Swarovski.

Well after a couple hours at cabelas looking through all their best glass, the 12x50's are the easy winner. I haven't purchased them yet going to start shopping around now. But the new swarovision binoculars are unreal and really the others weren't even close to being in the same league.

Anyone know where the best deal might be?? Cameralands out of demos and 2649 is the cheapest I've seen so far. Thanks for any input I can get.

I bought my EL 12x50 demo's from Eagle Optic's. They were $100 cheaper than Cameraland. Super sweet glass...

Well just ordered my 12x50's today from cameraland. They are great to deal with and gave me a heck of of a deal and great service. They'll always get my optic business just be ause of how great they are to deal with.

Now the wait begins

How do you like the 12x50's? I have 10x42 SLC's, had them for 12 years, thinking about upgrading.

400 I love them! The first trip out with them I really noticed how easy they were to use just holding them. Them put them on a tripod and they really shine! I was able to glass up elk sheds at over 1000 yards, where my brother using my old zeiss couldn't find them even when I centered them in his glass. Their worth every penny! I really feel you'll gain about 10 mins more glassing time in the mornings and evenings, to me 20 more mins a day being able to glass is invaluable.
