Vortex 15x56 or Swarovski 15x56

I have a pair of Kiababs and think they are awesome.I know the swaros are great but am very satisfied with the vortex and think you would be also.

I have the Swaros and love them. The biggest difference is Edge clarity. The Swaro's are clear from edge to edge while the Vortex are not, which means that the Swaros will have about a 30% bigger useable FOV and you won't get eye strain or tension headaches after long periods of use.

My Kaibab's are gin-clear and crisp "edge to edge". I purchased mine after testing them against a Swarovski 15X56, side by side on tripods, on a USAF resolution chart tacted up on my pump house as light faded to essentially darkness. I am not going to state the Kaibab's were "better" but neither can I state the Swarovski was "better". The Swaro owner and I called it a push and I bought the Vortex Kaibab and they have worked just fine for their intended purposes.

That's my personal observation for what its worth.

Vortex are a great value. But if they were really as good as Swarovski, they would sell them for the same price as Swarovski. It is not as if Vortex is very philanthropic, just trying to help out the little guy by keeping prices artificially low.

You get what you pay for with the Big 3, though you pay a lot for a little difference, it is still better.

Thanks everybody virg, grizz you guys have a great point. The vortex are great glass but I went with the swaros worth every penny in my eyes.
