phone scope or tines up digiscoping system

i am looking to get into digoscoping. does anyone have experience with these different set ups?

I own a tines up set up and love it. works great!

No experience with the phone skope but it looks like it is pretty similar. plus you usually have your phone so no need to pack the extra camera.

What kind of camera do you want to use?

The first thing I would recommend is that you DO NOT limit yourself to two adapters.

Digiscoping is not about the adapter.

Camera control will be the main factor in the picture quality that you get.

With a phone, you will have much less camera control. Some point and shoots have more features than others. Some digital SLRS are difficult to adapt to spotting scopes.

Start with the camera. Then find an adapter that works.

If you just want to take pictures that give you an idea of what you saw, the camera phone might be ideal.

What does "get into digiscoping" mean?

Do you want to get into it on a level where you might win the Swarovski digiscoper of the year contest?
Do you want to be able to have nice quality prints made to display in your home?
Do you want nice pics to share on the internet and email to friends?
Do you just want low quality, quick pics to show on your small phone screen?

There is tons and tons of adapters out there. Some are more popular and well known. Others might actually work better with your camera and scope combination.

Would just like to share quality photos. I am leaning towards tines up. Thanks guys.

I ordered the tines up kit. 15 days later I'm still waiting for it. TU customer service is the worst I have ever seen. No contact phone number just an email address which nobody has ever responded to. No tracking number just an email saying the billed me at time of purchase.

That sucks to hear 325! TU treated me great, I love their product and use it all the time.

325, I heard that the TU crew are down south killing big bulls. They posted something on the forum saying that they will be back next week. Hope that explains why the delay.
Can't blame the guys for taking some time to hunt for themselves.

I was contacted by one of the guys yesterday. He was actually really good to work with once he got back to me. I guess they messed up and marked my order as shipped when it really wasn't. I should be getting it any day now I'm excited to start using it.
