I only hope the new 56mm binos have a narrower interpupillary distance than the previous models.. Where did you hear of a lower pricing?

Talking to the local rep. The 15x56's may be a bit more though than the standard.

The 8's and 10's will be less

The current 15x56's can be purchased for $1899 w/tripod adapter. The new ones will be how much? And will it be worth the difference?

Actually Cabelas has them on sale for 1699.. I don't know the price on the new ones and haven't seen them yet. I think the decision will be up to the purchaser.

Cameraland also has them for $1699 and the new model will be priced at $2700, now is it worth it?

The new 15's will weigh 42.3 ounces compared to the old ones at 45.5 ounces (3 oz difference). The biggest difference will be the HD glass on the new ones vs non-HD on the old ones. The rep I spoke to said the new ones will be a few hundred $$ less than the MSRP which is at $2,799. Meaning Cabelas and Sportsmans will likely cary them at $2,599. Is it worth an extra $1,000 for the HD glass?????? To each his own I guess.

I just put my order in for these new binos although they are not expected to ship until after the first of the year. They additionally feature a new focusing system, a narrower interpupillary distance and a new prism system among other changes. I can't wait to get my hands on them!

they will be a lot closer to the ELs than the current slc neu 15x56s are, my gut says yes. I use the el 12x50s a bunch and love them

Just bought Sportsmans,Reno last pair with adapter and camera adapter for 1500.00. Been watchin them for a couple years.Im stoked. BH1

Hard to believe a newer version could be significantly better than the old one's they were pretty universally considered TOP glass by those who used them a lot. I do agree the inter-pupillary distance could be a big plus for those with narrow eyes.

I encourage anyone who can get one of the old ones for $1000 less to do so if you glass long range a lot.

Nothing, in my opinion, finds game at long range(1.5mi +) better, including and especially a spotter of any type, which is best used for judging.

Ditto on what BPK said. There are some good deals out there on them right now. Supplies are drying up, though. I just bought a pair from The Outdoorsmans for $1599. I wasn't willing to wait until the HDs come out and pay $900 more. I can't imagine the new ones being that much better.

I just bought mine on Ebay for the same $1599, tripod adapter included. What is the best bino harness for these?

I'll be taking a set on the new ones and the old ones on a Cow hunt at the end of the month and will provide a full write up when I get back.

First impressions are very impressive to say the least.

Best bino harness for the 15's is the large kuiu harness...
I love mine!

I agree the KUIU Bino harness is real good. I also really like the Alaska Guide Creations, I think Jaret makes a real good Bino Harness.

I looked at every harness on earth. I narrowed it down to FHF, KUIU, and AGC. And ended up ordering the one from FHF Gear. I thought the FHF was the best harness for what I wanted. I'll see when it gets here.

A tripod is almost a necessity with the 15s for glassing. But unless you're close to the truck, gotta have a way to pack em. I've been using the standard bino buddy. The 15s would have turned them into a worse ball knocker than they already are. My early impression of the FHF gear harness is good. It appears to be quality. My plan is to leave the spotter home at times. So I need easy access to the 15s. And be able to remove from harness and mount on tripod. If it rides good and doesn't create any hot spots under my pack, it should be a winner.
