Nikon is discontinueing the Buckmaster series scope and there is some good sales on them right now going on.I just bought the 3-9x40 for 30% off .such a good price I bought two.
I always found them a good scope for the money.

A couple of yrs ago,I bit the bullet and bought a Nikon Monarch 4x16x42 MilDot for $450 or so.I was very pleased with what I got for the $$ and it has been rock solid after starting out on my 223 target rifle, then being moved over to my 30-06 Deer rifle.I recently found that Natchez is selling the same scope for less than $350,so I ordered another one from them.I just got it and am planning to put it on my 308.I think this is one of the best deals on optics that can be found today. The glass seems crystal clear,MilDot reticle, and it WILL hold zero.I took my 30-06 out to the range after I got back from my hunting trip and shot it off the bench. The scope held zero perfectly, with the POI in the same place I had zero'd it before leaving on my hunt. For me this scope sets the standard. If I buy another scope for my hunting riles,it has got to be this good or better.
