I am going to buy a pair of high power binoculars, most likely the vortex kaibabs. I now have to decide between the 15 and 20 power. What are the pros and cons of each?

The 20x is just not going to be bright enough, the field of view is also much smaller. Stick with the 15x. There is a reason you don't see very many 20x56 binoculars.

1+ on the 15x..may also want to check the Minox..I have the minox 15x58 ED great glass for the price(but heavy to pack) they now have a lighter models out...outdoorsmans rated them really well..Danny

I have the new HD 15x56 SLC and they are the best on the market, I highly recommend them. The kaibabs are inexpensive however you will find the edge resolution is absolutely terrible! I would recommend the old style swaro 15's over the vortex for only a few hundred extra bucks.
