looking to buy a new range finder for archery & rifle hunting have a Bushnell 800 in 8x been an awesome unit anyone have any input on whats good & not so good most of the country I hunt is timber & high sage nothing extremely vertical

I have a leica rangemaster 900 I like it works good I know there are better ones out there, leupold makes good rangefinders for archery hunters that are reasonably priced

I have a Leica 1200 that's about eight to ten years old and it still works great. Has good optics.

It will range animals in the 800 to 900 yard range every time and will range a rock at over 1100 yards.

I just missed a Leica deal for $200...damn.

I did get Vortex Ranger 1000 for a little more. Very small, light, seems bullet proof. And it has red LED readout I can see.Angle Comp. built in.
Still figuring it out,but beats the old Bushnell scouts all to heck.

just like stubaby said leica 1600b is the only way to go. buy it and be done with it .

Another vote for Leica.
I've had a couple others and I'll just say......pooh on them! My Leupold was "within specs" and every other rangefinder in the world out performed it! It was great to about 150 yards but was supposed to be good to 1000. Not even close!
Enough said,
Zeke
