Anyone have a better system of attaching the EL range binoc's to a tripod other than the bulky universal system? There is a small adapter for the non-EL range-finding swaro's but all I have found for the EL'S is the universal system....Thank you.

Thanks Grizzly,
They do offer a stud but they need to have the optics shipped to them. I am hoping that someone has done something on their own.
Thanks again and best regards to all.

I just rest mine on my tripod head. I can get it as still as you can get and it makes for easy switching when I go to the scope

I like you found the Swaro universal adapter to be bulky, and very overpriced for the amount of engineering that went into it. I mean a bungee cord for $100 is ridiculous. I also didn't want to ship my new optics out, so I made my own universal adapter that weighs nothing and is flat as a pancake.

Here is the link when I posted it originally. Scroll down and you'll see a couple of good pics of it.

Can't you just get the Swaro stud from Outdoorsmans, screw it in yourself, and then put it on their tall tripod adapter?

I have on order the same type setup as I just stated for the SLC's. It should get here today or tomorrow and I can report back how it works.

There isn't a threaded receiver on the EL's. They have to drill/tap it.

Very impressive Sliver.
I think I may be able to create something similar.

I appreciate all the thoughts and ideas.
Thanks to all.
