I have a pair of these binos and they don't seem as clear as a year ago when I bought them. Always kept in badlands case and kept clean. Anyone else experienced this?

Sadly you are seeing what happens with mid-grade glass. The Vortex Razors and Nikon Monarch will last a little longer before their glass and coatings lose clarity (about 5 years), but it is pretty much a case of "you get what you pay for".

Send them in for warranty work as needed and when you are ready to bite the bullet, get some Big 3 and you'll love them for decades.

Well thats a bummer. That was the most expensive optics purchase ive ever made but i guess you get what you pay for. I just have a hard time stomaching paying 2k+ for binos. Thanks for all the info.

Yeah, its a ton of money. If you decide to swing for the fences, see if you can pick up some used Swarovski SLC 10x42 NEU. They can often be found for about $1200 and are top-notch glass. They're still over a grand, but a lot less than the new stuff. They're a great value for a binocular.
