I broke down and bought a new VX6 scope because I'm older and fatter, can't seem to get close now, and had some extra cash. The 3x9 scope I replaced I bought in 1976 and was still functioning perfect. Yeah, I'm old. I read where they could replace the tube on the old one for around $100 because you can imagine what it looked like after about 40yrs of hunting. They sent me an email saying to call them and they told me they could not replace the tube of the scope due to its age and configuration but would send me a new one. I paid around $80 for the scope when new. Life is good.

I sent them an old VXIII 2.5x8 I bought used, because it would not adjust crosshairs. 3 weeks later back it came with full inspection report on problems, their fix, testing results and some great mounting info. No charge. Their fix was to replace the objective assembly, which restored crosshair movement from 2 clicks to 40 clicks.

I'm a customer for life.

PS, love the 2.5x8x38 on my mountain rifle. Light, compact, bright and clear. Anyone else a fan of lower x zoom optics?

I sent in a pair of old 8X30 porro prism binos. I asked for them to be cleaned and have the eyecups replaced. They sent word asking me to call. I called and was informed they would not be able to repair, instead they offered to upgrade me to a new pair of 8X32s for $70.00. I send them a check, a couple months later, I get a check in the mail for 70.00. I call and ask why, they tell me since I waited too long for them to contact me about my old pair that they were refunding the "upgrade cost". I have and will continue to own Leupold.
