Every outdoor forum out there always has someone who can't afford or questions the use of high end optics... Lieca Swaros, Zeiss..Although a good glass Vortex is NOT a member of this club.
In my opinion.

My question is what percentage of these people spend 3 to 5 K on oversized tires and wheels and a lift kit.. { by the way really useless on a hunting rig no matter how cool you think it looks}.. but wont chime up to buy a 3k spotter or binocular.. You all know who you are... The $ money spent on good glass will serve you for the rest of your life... The fatso tires... well you know how long they last. Those who concure with me understand...those who don't my flame suit is on ....lol...and yes I have compared the big three to Vortex... sorry they are not in the same class at dusk and dawn...

Not sure if this is in response to my recent optics thread, but for what it's worth my truck is stock. As to the question at hand, Meh. Some folks invest in hunting gear, others in their vehicles. Only got to make yourself happy.

I think pretty much everybody agrees that top end optics are the best , but many hunters simply cant afford them . Many cant afford lift kits and fatso tires either . Who cares if someone is driving a brand new 60,000$ diesel and is carrying a pair of 1976 Bushnell binos ? Who cares if someone is driving a Yugo and carrying 10,000$ worth of European glass ? Its none of my business , as long as they are enjoying themselves . If the best a guy can afford is Vortex optics , and they are happy with them , does that mean they shouldn't be a forum member ? Im not sure what OP was ranting about

In the end, I suppose it comes down to funds available and priorities. Most of us have diverse priorities and very limited funds. If you have multiple priorities and can only put a big chunk into one, then the others will have to do with less...

I've told hunters in tough times, if its all you can get, pick up a pair of $40 binos from Sam's Club or some such. My first season, many years ago, with binos were such and I saw more game that year than any three previously.

Put a few sets of used tires on the truck for several years too, for lack of funds for anything better.

I don't think it's my problem, issue, business what someone else used for tire or optics.
Whatever I do, someone might think it's wrong but I'm only pleasing ME regardless of decisions made about my spending habits.
WELL, MY WIFE HAS SOMETHING TO SAY ABOUT IT HOWEVER. Lol

I have swaro, Leica, Zeiss, Nightforce, and a jeep with a lift and 35"s and a $60k diesel with 35"s. What does that make me?
Worthless post btw
