Which Scope and Why?

I have a VX-III 4.5-14x50mm Long Range and VX-3 6.5-20x40mm AO. My question is which one do I put on my long range rifle? Explain why you would choose your pick.

I'm on the fence 50mm vs 40mm, Older VX-III and the newer VX-3 with newer coatings and different internal gas and lastly 14 power vs 20 power??

Lower am and pm light shooting, as this tends to be when you get your shots.

Reticle on both is TMR style.
