Burris Montana 10x42 - Any good??

so I send back a pair of burris signature select 12x50 for repair. burris couldn't not fix them so they sent me a new set of burris Montana 10x42's. I was a little upset that I sent in 12 power and got back 10's. I have a really nice set of 10x42's. I do not see a lot about these glasses and want to know if these Montana's are comparable to the sig. selects? burris told me the reason I got 10 power glasses is because they, nor steiner, make 12x50's. did they down grade me? any input is appreciated. thanks.

well the good news is burris said I can keep these or send them back (they'll pay shipping) and they'll give me $500 credit towards whatever.

That is good news. Just for future reference, is that $500 good on any bino, no matter where you purchase? Good for private sellers as well? Seems like they'd make you stay in their brand at least, but who knows.
