LAST EDITED ON Jul-09-16 AT 08:55AM (MST)[p]I'm looking to buy used. Maybe Swaro if I can find one for the right price. 65mm.

Besides Craigslist and Ebay where are good places to find deals on used scopes?

How about online used optic dealers?

Any Caveat emptor tips for buying used glass?

Rokslide, 24hour dumpster fire, Ifish.net, natchez shooting supply, outdoorsmans.

When considering a purchase, get the serial # of the product from the seller and contact the manufacturer concerning its origin. You want to make sure the product is "USA" and not gray market. Gray market will need to be sent offshore for warranty service AND the warranty is not as good (usually). Oh, I also ask if the unit has been reported stolen.

Large camera stores, primarily in New York City, sold gray market goods for years. Manufacturers put a stop to it about 2005. The internet allows current buyers to easily import gray market product into the states. It is important to check. Patience will be rewarded with great optics at an excellent price point. Likely, you'll be able to sell your optics down the road for more than your initial investment.
