Used Swarovski

I've been researching Swarovski and saw one guy mention that he bought an old Swaro spotting scope and when he sent it in for repairs they upgraded him to the latest fluoride HD lenses. It seems to me that the newer lenses would only fit the latest spotting scopes so maybe he was mistaken. Can anyone shine some light on this?

What about upgrading older binos?

>I know you can get NEU
>lenses put in older SLC
>binos. I think the cost
>was around $75/lens. Not sure
>on spotters though.

Thanks, that's the info I'm looking for. So 4 lenses @ $75 for $300 total?

This was the email I got from them:

"In regards to your 10x42 SLC binoculars, the objective lens to be replaced would be $ 37.50 or $75.00/2. If your product was manufactured in 2000, I would suggest both objective lenses being replaced. In 2007 the lenses were newly designed with new Easy to Clean coatings. If you just replace the one lens, you will have 2 different coating hues (one may be green, the other will be purple). This does not affect the clarity or the use, this is completely cosmetic."

I didn't inquire about the ocular lenses, but I'd guess they're the same replacement cost. So you'd be looking at $150 total.
