10x42 Cabelas Euro binoculars on sale in the bargain cave for $499. Couple of buddies have these and really like them. Made be Meopta. Just in case someone is looking for good glass at a great price

Meaning are the HD binos like Vortex or similar brands for around $500 superior to a non hd version of the Meostars?

I couldn't answer that question since I've never compared the HD to the non HD of the Meopta.

Nope, the non HD meostars are significantly better..

Well just ordered them. Won $100 gift card for Cabela's at work so got them for $430.

Should be a decent upgrade from my Bushnell XLT's...
