Swarovski el 10x42

So I just got a killer deal on a pair of these, 550$. But the guy who had them seems to have broke the focus wheel and replaced it with a homemade one. My question is will Swarovski put a new one on for me even though I don't have the serial number? Here are some pictures so you can see what I'm talking about.

Hmm, that's interesting. Not sure what they would/won't do. I'm guessing they would fix it, but at some cost since original parts are gone.

Personally, I had a pair I bought used that had a broken focus wheel that I sent in and they fixed it no problem.

If they can/will fix them even wit a cost you're still ahead with the price you paid.
