Hi do you guys prefer the pan head or pistol grip? Pros and cons. Thanks!

Pan head. I used a pistol grip for a season. It was hard to use in cold weather with gloves on. When you take your gloves off the metal is cold. Found it not easy to move in small movements. Much easier with a pan head and handle. To grid out a section while looking for game.

I have and like the pistol grip. I also have the panner attachment which makes gridding much easier. Without that I doubt I'd be a big fan. BigJohnT is correct though, it gets freezing cold as it's solid metal. I love the pistol grip with binos on, but less so with a spotter. Have had other pan heads, just not the Outdoorsmans, so can't give a great comparison.
