Have any of you bought this yet? I'm thinking about buying one sometime in the couple weeks. I'm thinking about using this instead of 15X binos on a tripod. The reviews sound very good but I need to look through one first before I buy.
Besides the price, does anyone have anything negative to say about the BTX?

We have managed to fill a few of the pre-orders for this new item. Very cool and extremely sweet for ease of glassing. You'll love it.
If you want to physically have one in the next couple of weeks I am afraid that will be near impossible as Swaro dealers have been accepting pre-orders on these and right now are running 1 1/2 - 4 months on delivery of these.

If there is anything else that I can
assist you with please let me know.

I got my BTX and 95mm objective a few weeks ago and am very impressed with it. It definitely does not gather as much light as the 15hds though.

Thank you for letting me know the availability is still limited. I thought that was just the first few months.

Do you think you will still pack your 15X binoculars or will the btx replace your need for the 15X?

It is a toss up. While glassing the other evening, there was almost 10 minutes of difference in light between the two. The BTX with my Vortex Skyline tripod weighs a little over 11 pounds. If you get it, get the 1.7 magnifier also.

I do not have the BTX but want one and plan to get one in the next year or two. With that being said I can see one problem the BTX will have. Sometimes you need the low magnification of 20 power with a spotting scope to find something that you've found with your bino's. Sometimes it's tough to find something with 20 power. But if your using the 30 power BTX to pick apart the terrain like a coues hunter does then it should be great. Fatrooster.

I've got some time behind one..

I think the perfect combo would be those and the EL 12's.

I'm surprised something like this hasn't been available sooner. I expect that an image splitter would cost some brightness, but the benefits of using both eyes would be a good balance.
