Ranging binoculars

Yes ! I bought the Leica range finding Bino's. When they where the only ones out worth a darn. You'll wish you would have done it sooner. They are expensive but worth every penny and hold a good value.

I've had the older geovids, then the El Ranges and now am back with the now discontinued geovid HD-R's, they're a great hunting tool for sure, well worth it to me.

I have had my Leica's for 8 years now. Never a problem . Better glass then most. If you look real hard, you may see a little difference from the most expensive bino's . But great quality all the way around !

I have a pair of the Leica HD-B's and have really liked them so far. Having binoculars, a range finder and ballistic calculator all in one unit works well for what I do.

Oh yeah they are worth it. I have been using the Leica Geovids for the past 10 years and they have never let me down. The added benefit is I don't have to carry a different RF. If anything happens to these, I will replace them with the latest Geovids.

Last time I seriously looked at ranging binoculars was about 10 years ago. What turned me off was that they didn't have the same lifetime warranty as their optics only(this was Leica) don't know if that has changed or not, but I'm not going to spend that amount of money for a lesser warrantied product. Though the convenience would be great.

I've had the Geovid HDs for a couple years now and I don't know that I can ever go back. I've kept my SLCs, but even though they're slightly crisper (you have to look trough both at the same time to be able to tell), I still like knowing how far things are, so I just end up letting my buddies use the SLCs.

Some day (hunting gods willing), I'm going to spot that 200" buck at 479 yards, and it's going to be sweet knowing exactly how high I need to hold.

I had the swarovision el binos and bought a pair of leica geovid hd-b's and the leicas are actually every bit as clear as the non ranging swaros.

HOWEVER, i did have the swaro range finding binoculars and holy heck they suck! They are incredibly noticably darker than non ranging binoculars. I sold them quick and will never ever get swaro ranging binos again.

Ive since sold my swaro el's and now i have two pairs of leica hd-b binos. They are literally the best binos ive ever had regardless of ranging capability or not.

I, along with a jilion other owners of the Swaro Range, wholeheartedly disagree with this assessment of the EL Range. I sold my Leica Geovids and love my ELR.

Every monkey to their own branch, I suppose
