I bought a cooper backcountry 92 last year and put a NF atacr on it. To my disappointment I had to take it off because between the larger tube and wind turret the casings would not eject from my 300 win mag. So I'm back in the market for a scope and I'm seriously considering the swaro 3-18x50 knowing this gun will be used on a late season AZ bull tag most likely this year or next so longer shots are a possibility. Im also looking at huskemaw and leupold along with zeiss. I'm not as familiar with huskemaw or zeiss from the standpoint I've never hunted with them. I have to keep the tube down to a 30mm and avoid large wind turrets to make sure I have enough clearance. I put the new leupold HD on it and I do have the clearance with that scope but I've read that some people are having issues with the turrets on them...

I did consider selling the gun and going with a custom build but I love the rifle, its lightweight, and it shoots great.

any thoughts tips or feedback would be appreciated.

LAST EDITED ON Jan-28-18 AT 07:26AM (MST)[p]Hi adubs,

I bought a backcountry 92 in 7mm Rem Mag last year also. I am still trying to learn the rifle a bit and have only put a couple of boxes through it. I put a 5-25 Swaro (Z5 I think) on it, and it's a lightweight, sharp looking rifle. I think I just need to spend the time to get confident with the gun and will love it. Did you have any issues in breaking it in, or grouping? Glad to hear you are enjoying the gun.
