Huskenmaw or Leopold turrent system

I have a Best of the West 7mm with a Husky 4-16-42mm and absolutely love it... My buddy just bought a Cooper 300 win mag and is trying to figure out the scope to sit on top...both of us are more concerned about hunting than lots of bench shooting...he can get the leopold V5?? with a turret system for about $500 less.... This is a gun he wants to be shooting decades from now...

Any thoughts???

I just set up the new Leupold a few months ago and still prefer my Huskemaw. I've been using the husky 10 years now and it is great

Hey actually went with the leo as it was like 600 less...love my husky and BOW rifle set up pretty sure I have found the rest of my life rifle

I have both and if I were to need another one I would get another Leopold. No issues with the Husky but not sure the price difference is worth it.

LEO no problems and dead nuts on.
But like to have a STOP on it like Nightforce.

My VX5 has a stop on it and I like it lots.
I went with the Leo because it was lighter and at my age, I feel every extra ounce!

LBH he went with the Leo($$$) but he is a young buck just got out of the army as a Ranger...so weight wasn't the issue....you can show it me when I clean up in the Utah draw...ahahaha
