Leupold VX5-HD - Should I go with 2-10 or 3-15?

Looking to upgrade my older VX-II 3-9x and have narrowed it down to these two scopes.

I like the lighter more compact nature of the 2-10 but the 15 power would sure be nice for those 500 yard pokes.

The 2-10 can be had for $200 less, which is a factor. What would you get? And if you have experience with the CDS-ZL2 system let me know what you think.

LAST EDITED ON May-16-18 AT 06:55AM (MST)[p] I have a couple 2-10's and really like the compact size. But for some reason Leupold discontinued the Windplex reticle version (171388) which I favored. If you want to use the scope for longer ranges the 3-15's still have Windplex reticle and side focus which is a plus.
Only complaint I have about the VX-5 is the tube length is a bit short, so you are a little limited on mounting systems on a long action.

Go with the 3-15, it's still fairly light compared to many others in that category. Windplex or tmoa would be my choice.
