HI all,
I have always wanted to purchase a pair of high end binoculars but could not stomach the price tag. I now have the opportunity to purchase a pair of two year old 8.5 x42 Swarovski EL's in excellent condition from a coworker for 1,500. Thats a savings between 1,100 - 1,400 depending which site you buy them from. My problem and why I'm coming to you guys is that I prefer a 10x42 bino which is what I have now in a pair of nikon monarchs. My question is do you think the price savings and the significant jump in optic quality I will experience is worth the loss of 1.5 magnification. I usually hunt in open country at 9,000 to 10,000 feet elevation. I wish I could test them out where I hunt but don't have the time to drive four hours to test out a pair of binos. What do you guys think?
Thanks
