Zeiss Conquest Binos

I don't think you'll be disappointed with the binos for the money you'll spend. I still have a pair of the Zeiss 10x40 classic they just sit in the gun safe after having them gone through by Zeiss, because I bought a pair of Victory FLs in 10x42 . I also have a 85mm Zeiss spotter. Great glass. To be sure I would test them out along with a Vortex or maybe Meopta. You can always call Doug at cameraland and pick his brain about them. I'm sure he'll steer you in the right direction. Good luck

Well to answer the first question I hunt east and west and next year up north on a moose hunt. I currently have a pair of Zeiss Classics 10x42 and Older Zeiss conquest 8 X 30's. Looking for an upgrade to my Classics for my western hunts.

You definitely won't be disappointed! If I was in your boots I'd bump up to 12?50's especially for the western hunts!

LAST EDITED ON Aug-07-18 AT 04:52PM (MST)[p]I'm getting too old or I hike too far or I have a medical or mental condition but 10's are about as high as I can use without a tripod.
I love my 15x Swarovski's on a tripod but for general hunting away from the truck, I'll use 10 x even for sheep.
You might get away with 12's and many less shaky gys do but i'll settle for 10's

If you are going to do a side by side comparison test between Zeiss and Vortex optics, be sure and smear a bunch of dog crap on the Zeiss objective lenses first. You do want to make it a fair comparison after all :)

LMAO!

For that same price range I would compare the conquests, meoptas and leica trinovid. All 3 are very nice. Will just matter what you think feels best and looks best to your eye. Stay away from Vortex.

I would take a pair of zeiss any day over vortex. but I will stick with my swaro's!

I have some and absolutely love them. For my eyes better than vortex, not as good as swaro. I'd buy them again in a heartbeat!!
