LAST EDITED ON Feb-20-15 AT 04:16PM (MST)[p]I'm in search of a new day pack. I think I have narrowed it down to either the Kuiu Icon Pro 3200, the Mystery Ranch Nice Longbow or the Sitka Bivy 30... Ay opinions on any of these packs?
Thanks
Clint

Have you taken a look at any Horn Hunter packs?

Oh sure, just add more options to this deal!! LOL I appreciate your guys input and I will look at those packs as well.
Thanks again,
Clint

I have the MR 6000 and CC and think they are great. My wife has the MR longbow and so far she has been very happy with it. She packed half of her buck last season just short of 2 miles and had no concerns at all.

I bought the Kuiu Ultra 6000 just a month ago just to shave some weight. The MR packs are great and bullet proof but they are on the heavy side.

can not go wrong with the KUIU I just bought a Icon Pro 5200 this pack is by FAR the best I have owned !! 100 % better than Eberlestock & Badlands & Blacks Creek & Alps . I have had all of those & u could NOT give me another !! The Only thing I have found in my KUIU that was not 100% up to my liking is the H2O system this has one on each side but they are small !! I can buy their H2O holder just didn't see it when I bought the pack !! as far as fit feel weight & storage completely 100% above & beyond the other packs I have had !! my suggestion would be get the 5200 Not the 3200 for the sake of a POUND it would be a better choice !! the top bag comes off & sheds 9 oz so less than a pound the Icons all use the same frame system !!! Just my 2 cents !!

Thank you all again for your replies. I have a lot of research left to do for this fall, but I will keep you posted as to what I end up with and try to give a full review.

Lots of great packs on the market so it makes it harder to decide. After looking at several packs, I recently bought the KUIU Icon Pro 1850 for a day pack. I bought the 6000 ultra bag so for backpack hunts, I'll pack in with the 6000, then put the frame on the 1850 and leave my gear in the 6000 at camp. I really didn't like the idea as promoted by a couple other packs to use a 3-5000 size bag for a daypack and a big backpack as I'd be needing to switch gear around more than I wanted to. Considering price and weight, I could get the 2 KUIU packs very similar to others. I did look at a few others but this system seemed to fit what I was looking for the best. Hasn't arrived yet so I was going a bit on a buddy's opinion that has these packs and he loved it. I'll be cutting off a lot of weight from my Cabelas Alaskan bag and Badlands daypack that I currently use.

So I have decided to you with the the Full Curl System. Now I have a completely aesthetic question, Kings Desert Shadow or Predator Deception?
Thanks guys,
Clint

Good to hear! You will be extremely happy with this pack. The 2015 model is amazing. HH made the pack even more versatile this year.

I went with Max1. Haven't seen the new model in Kings.

Pockets have been added to the outside of the wings. This way when you're hauling just the frame you still have plenty of space to carry the essentials. Or when it's all loaded up they are still easy access without having to get into your main bags.
They also introduced the adjustable torso system. Now everyone can get a perfect fit.

Thanks you guys for sharing your awesome experiences of day packs and multi-day ones.
I have been using Sitka Gear Flash 32 as my day pack exclusively. It is time for me to buy one for multi-day pack.
After reading the great reviews from this Forums, two are my finalists: Kuiu Icom Pro 5200 and Paradox Evolution pack: Evo + Talon + Pack Bag(4800)
Just wondering if anyone can help me out with your experiences and suggestions. Thanks a lot in advance.

Paradox Evolution pack:

this is a very good pack. Light weight, fantastic belt, hauls heavy loads extremely well. On par with kifaru and stone mtn. I use the 1850 Icon bag on mine as a day pack for elk. Has the load sling feature in between frame and bag. I know I could fit a bigger bag on this baby no problems or use their set up. The frame is much stronger than the kuiu carbon.

Although fall is not over yet, I had to give a shout out to the guys at Horn Hunter!! The full curl system is by far the most versatile pack I have ever worn and one of the most comfortable. Thanks for a great product and great customer service.

To anyone even remotely on the fence about this pack, BUY IT!!!

3blade, how well does the Kuiu bag adapt to the paradox frame? I am new here and looking to get a Seek Outside Revolution frame and pair it up with a Icon Pro 5200 bag from Kuiu. Just looking to see if this seems feasible or if I should just choose one or the other. Any pictures or advice?

I own the Kuiu Icon Pro 3200

For a comfortable ultra light day pack that holds all of my glassing equipment, food and warm clothing not to mention it's expandable in seconds to haul out a quarter.

I doubt I'll be wanting a different bag for a very long time
