Anybody running this combo and what model Garmin are you doing it with. I have an older unit, but need an upgrade have done some research in this direction and thinking this is what will work for me. Appreciate your input, - QB

I bought the Garmin Oregon 450(?) and the OnXmaps card. It works great for what I do. I mainly bought it to be able to hunt around private land when antelope hunting, but use it on other hunts as well. It helped get around a private parcel on my muzzy cow elk hunt in Colo. last year.

I bought a Garmin 64 st two years ago along with the On X chip . Really is an eye opener for years we avoided land that was semi posted thinking it was private all of was BLM & State land . The Garmin GPS's are great units I called the OnX guys before buying mine & they told me that 95% of all their testing had been done on the 64 st unit ..

I use the Garmin 64st as well along with the state chip. It's been a helpful piece of equipment.

Got a Oregon 450T w/onxmaps for NM 3 yrs ago.
Maps have saved me many miles & opened a whole world that I had to rely on fences or signs in wrong places or not true before.
When G&F and local law uses it now for info,it is way to go.Up dates easy to get too.Discounts for RMEF members.

Like the big screen on 450 I can see, but I hate touch screens personally.
I leave mine switched off and have never had a problem with mine turning on hiking. I have it hanging on pack or belt with d-ring usually,or in top pouch of pack.
