Anyone have anything good or bad about this product? Are there better options? I am going to hunt a different type of terrain this year that might offer opportunities for the use of shooting sticks. Product reviews seem good. Thanks

I used the Primos Tall Tripod trigger sticks for a two week African PG trip and was sold on them.

I use them as a tall monopod for standing binocular use and a on the fly adjustable walking stick that has never failed me.

I had a Bog Pod but gave it away after using the Primos tall tripod

For the life of me, I can not understand why guys would use Bog-Pods. I decided to upgrade from my Trigger Stick Bipod to a Tripod and looked at the Bog-pods. What a PITA! Who wants to adjust leg length individually every time with twist-locks??? Anybody who has spent any time in the field with these devices knows that you constantly have to readjust leg length depending on terrain, uphill/downhill, etc along with other obstacles. Having to take the time to loosen twist locks on the individual legs while trying to get the leg length right for 2-3 separate legs and then re-lock them in place makes no sense to me. Not only that, but they're heavier than the Trigger sticks. Another Trigger Stick for me. They've worked well without any problems. I found the bipod just a little too unstable for longer shots though so I went with the tripod.

I bought the Gen 2 tripod (tall) and was able to shoot off of it for the first time this weekend. Feels good, easy to open and adjust. I need to practice with it a few more times before October but I'm impressed so far.
