I had sent two pair of Swarovski glasses in for repair/overhaul to there RI repair facility. One pair of 10x42 EL that were about 8 yrs old, and a pair of 10x42 SLC that were 20 + yrs old, they were both getting hard to adjust the focus knob from dust debris and being used so much in general. I paid the shipping to send both pair in, and had them both returned back to me in about 6 weeks. To my surprise they had replaced my 10x42 SLC with a brand new pair of 10x42 SLC, and had done a great job on the EL's, new rubber coating, eye cups, etc... Pleasantly surprised when I opened the boxes, and saw what they had done. It didn't cost me anything other than shipping them to there repair facility!! I would say that is GREAT customer service, just wanted to share my experience with you all. Hope everyone is having a great hunting season...

several years ago I dropped my 10x42 slc on the floor and they ended up needing to be sent in. I paid the shipping and about a month or so later got them back looking like new.
this year both mine and my father in laws binos needed new objective lenses covers, I called them and after supplying the serial numbers we had two news stes of covers in hand no charge. We have had these binos for over 15 years. They said no problem the covers are covered by your warranty.
I love my swarovski bino!

You get what you pay for. my Swarovski optics have ever needs service but when I sent my Leica's in my experience was similar.

Stay Thirsty My Friends

An update, I recently received my 12x50's back from the service center in RI. I must say that I am disappointed to say the least. I sent them in for a cleaning basically. The eye ups and focus adjustment were saturated with sand due to a dumb dumb on my part. They sent them back having only fixed the focus adjustment. Eye cups are still gritty sounding and feeling when they are rotated in and out. A nice hand written note said they were out of eye cups, to call back in a few weeks. Implying that I would fix/clean them myself. I tried cleaning them prior to sending them in, and gritty was the best I could do. I figured they would have cleaned the interior out and just put the old eye ups in.

Maybe it's me, but given the rave reviews I expected more.

Earlyriser,

I'm sorry to hear that. I will be sending my 12x50's in for a cleaning and to get rid of the gritty grind after my bear hunt this spring. Also planned to send in the spotter for a similar cleaning/maintenance check. Hope I don't experience something similar.

Update #2

I contacted Swarovski about the eyecups. They sent me a new pair. Two minutes later they were installed and my problem fixed. They even threw in a nice ball cap. I guess I'm not as jaded now:)!
