Poulan Chainsaw Review

As far as I've read, Poulans don't get much respect but a lot of that is probably because they're a consumer/homeowner saw and probably don't get appropriate care. Chainsaws are very unforgiving to neglect.
Personally I'm looking for a metal chop saw. Found some decent reviews here https://handtoolexpert.com/best-metal-chop-saw/ . DEWALT D28710 seems to be worth considering

The old US made Poulans were a good saw IMHO.
I have an old Poulan 3400 I purchased new about 30 years ago. It has seen a lot of use over the years. Up until five years ago we heated our house with wood, burning an average of about 5 cord a year. That little saw has a gang of hours on it and is still running strong! My felling saw is an old Husky 181SE. It has a few hours on it as well.

Love mine. Have had it for a couple years and use it on about 4 hunting trips a year cutting fire wood plus the occasional tree trim at home. Never had a problem and always starts with minimal maintenance.
