LAST EDITED ON Jun-21-11 AT 07:15AM (MST)[p]I have an old pair of 8 by 30 Habicht SlC binoculars that I bought around 20 years ago. I just left them in my truck for my grandkids to have something to look through. They had become very dull and gray. The brightness was just way gone. My friend told me to send them in to Swarovski to see what they would do with them. I called Swarovski and explained to them what I had, and they told me to send them in and gave me all the necessary info. It was only about 4 days later that they called me back, and told me that they had inspected the binoculars and they were going to rebuild them. They would replace all parts and said the outside part was too old and discontinued so they wanted to know what color I preferred, green or black. I told them green. They said my old pair was just water resistant, and my new pair would be water proof. I don't know how you rebuild something by replacing all the parts. Sounds like they're going to just send me a new pair of binoculars. They also said I should send them in every 3 to 5 years to be gone through. Good info for those of you that own Swarovski. I told them I would spread the word on the quality of their customer service and that is what I am doing. It's very nice to be treated this way in this day and age. Thanks Swarovski, you are much appreciated. I just wish I had bought 10 powers way back then.
