Just wonderin' what if any personal experience you guys have had with warrenty work through remington. Bought a new .270 wsm last year and had soem problems with factory ammo showing signs of excessive pressure and cases sticking in the chamber. Turns out it is a common problem with those guns around the same time I bougt mine. The problem is, all the posts I have read about this issue, the guns were fixed but were returned with scratched barrels and or stock damage. Makes me pretty leery about sending it in for work if it might get damaged in the process. Just wondering if anyone else could shed some light on this. Is it a common problem (damaged guns following repair work) or am I only hearing the bad war stories and this isnt an issue. Any info would be awsome. Thanks

My .270 wsm cases are expanded towards the bottom once shot. My other rifles don't show this, so I assume it isn't normal. As far as Remington service....it is crap. I know of two people who bought new SPS rifles and neither one would chamber a round. You could not close the bolt it was that bad. It took a while, but both were fixed. Both complained about the way Remington took care of them. Terrible customer service. No more Remington for any of us.

That is the same problem i am having to at "T". have heard of a lot of other guys with the same issues as well. dont know what remington does to correct it tho. if i did i wouldnt let them fix it from the sounds of things. thanks for the feedback.
