All pretty good rifles:
Tikka t3 lite, Thompson Venture, Browning X bolt Stalker.

Tell me of those 3 rifles, which one would you consider to be the best?

I LOOKED AT 9 OR 10 DIFFERENT RIFLES, BOUGHT THE TIKKA LITE IN THE .300WSM, NEVER LOOKED BACK. LOVE THE ACCURACY, A PLEASURE TO CARRY ALL DAY, SMOOTH BOLT, BOUGHT IT IN THE STAINLESS STEEL........NICE PRICE.........YD.

Also happy with mine in 25-06. Not sure I want a 300 mag in one, at least during practice sessions. Might get a removable break installed for practice then cap when you go hunt. Replace butt pad with Limbsaver, takes 2 minutes.

T3 300wsm. . . .

"Roadless areas, in general, represent some of the best fish and wildlife habitat on public lands. The bad news is that there is nothing positive about a road where fish and wildlife habitat are concerned -- absolutely nothing." (B&C Professor, Jack Ward Thomas, Fair Chase, Fall 2005, p.10).

I have a few friends who bought the T3 lite stainless and all love them. Good shooting rifles. Two in 270wsm, two 300wsm and a 300 win mag.

T3...you will never look back. in my opinion, other manufacturers need to seriously take heed. exceptional trigger, superbly accurate, composite durable, lightweight for long treks, and cheaper then the rest... my question to you....why pay more for less of a rifle?

I have two T3 Lites (7mmRM & 300WSM) and love them. My lone issue, now that I've had the 300WSM for three years, is keeping the scope zeroed. Despite the Warne steel bases/rings and Loctite, the recoil eventually shakes the scope loose and I have to reset it about once a year. Maybe it's just me, but I haven't had this issue with the 7mm or my other rifles. Otherwise it is a joy to carry on backpack hunts and is one sweet shooter when it is on...

MOZEY........I HAVE HAD NO TROUBLE WITH THE RING MOUNT SITUATION ON MY TIKKA. BUT HERE RECENTLY IN HAD AN EXTRA PAIR OF TIKKA RINGS AT MY DISPOSAL. THEY WERE JUST LAYING AROUND SO AS MORE HUNTERS ARE DOING TODAY .....I NOW HAVE 2 PAIRS OF RINGS ON MY TIKKA. THEY FIT WITH NO PROBLEM, I AM ANAL ABOUT SCOPE MOUNTING.......ITS GOT TO BE DONE RIGHT. THAT TIKKA IS A TACK DRIVER IN THE .300WSM.......COULD NOT BE HAPPIER OR MORE CONFIDENT...................YD.

Thanks for the tip, Yukon. I'm going to give that a shot. I still have the original rings that I took off to put on the Warnes. Would you recommend using those or getting a matching set of Warnes?

MOZEY.....THE MATCHING SET MIGHT LOOK A BIT BETTER, BUT THEN AGAIN ACCURACY IS ALL I WAS AFTER. ANY COMBINATION WILL WORK...........TAKE ER EASY..........YD.
