I have come to really dislike this bullet. Im shooting 168 gr. TTSX 30 cal in a 300 win mag. Best group i could get was 3 round 1 1/2" group @ 200 yards. For my rifle, this is piss poor. I reload, seated the bullet off the lands as stated by Barnes to do and still cannot get them to do any better.
with a Sierra Match 168 gr i can put 3 rounds through the same hole. At 400 yards 3 round 1/2" group. I also get pretty close to the same results with my Nosler ballistic tips as i do the Sierra's.
What kind of groups are any of you getting with this bullet at 200 yards? Load data?
I really want to start using copper to hunt with, but shooting out past 400 yards, the Barnes will not group to my standards.
Any other copper bullet combos, ect do any better?
i bought some Copper Noslers but havent tried them out yet.

Some guns don't like them. 3/4 moa will kill anything a long way out. If you have a gun bullet combo that is an 1/8 moa gun cherish it save it and heck go win every contest there is. Remember to measure EVERY group shot decide how the gun shoots. I love to see most hunting groups around .5, but on a true average they are more

Thanks for the imput. Looks like my Surgeon doesn't like the Barnes bullets. I was hoping they would group better.
anyone ever shot the Nosler E-Tip? They are very hard to find in the 165/168 grains.

My .300 Rum loves this bullet what powder are you using it made a big difference with mine im running 92.5 grn. RL 25 i think max is 96 and it didnt do well at max but once i backed it down it will shoot under an inch at 100yds all day in fact i use TTSX's in all my guns .338,25-06,.300um.30-06 love em and love the way they kill

Might try the 180's.
My 300 WM will go 1/2 to 3/4 MOA with them.
Never had a gun or me consistently do 1/8 MOA.
