Danner RAT boots?

I am trying to find out some info on the Danner RAT boot. Is there a good review on these boots somewhere? The only info I can find is on Danners website. I am trying to see if these are a good backpacking boot. I can't find any info on the midsole or the length of the shank. Any info would be great.

You should call Danner for those specifics.....Very good, made in the usa boot. I almost bought a pair myself, but I still prefer my all leather Danner Rainforests. Maybe a bit heavy to some for backpacking @ 70 ozs.

Go to Wade's website at Hardcore Outdoors, he's got a great section on hiking boots. I use most all of his reviews when considering gear and equipment purchases. He is objective and thorough.

Yeah, I went to Wade's website and couldn't find anything on these. I called Danner and the rep that I spoke with said that all of Danner boots only have a shank through the arch. The guy that I talked to didn't know and couldn't find out what the composition of the midsole was. I called their repair shop and they didn't know anything about the composition of the boots either.
