Nikon scope & binos

Seeing as I can't afford the Swarovski optics at all I've been looking at what I can afford but I wanted to see if anyone has any experience with the products.

For a scope I've been looking at the Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-14x40 with the BDC reticule and the Nikon ProStaff 4-12x40 with the BDC reticule. It will end up on my 300 RUM.

As for binos, I'm pretty much looking at just the Nikon Trailblazer ATB 10x42.

Any info would be great, thanks.

I've had the buckmaster scope. It was an ok scope, but if it were me I would call Doug at Cameraland and pre-order the vortex viper. It's around the same price as the buckmaster but better quality IMO.

I bought the Nikon Trailblazer 8x42s for last Season; one side leaked during an Alaska Moose Bowhunt. Nikon replaced them quickly, and free of charge. Just the facts.

Best of Luck,
Jeff

Nikons are good but if you get in dust in the tracks where the eye cups slide up and down they are toast. Had to send 2 in in less that a year and one broke. As long as you register them they fix them for free as long as it was accidental and they are registered they will fix them for 25 years for free. Awesome CS and got a badlands bino cover and they should last me a couple of years.
