About 3 months ago my friends over at Bushnell sent to me this Trophy Cam HD to play with and review. I've never used a trail camera before, so this was my first experience.

The Bushnell Trophy HD Trail Camera uses either the 4 or 8 AA batteries for power. I loaded 8 batteries in it 5,000+ pictures and 2 months ago and the batteries are still going strong. That was the first thing that impressed me. Each time I checked the camera, I expected dead batteries, but was thrilled each time that it was still going strong.

I used this trail camera for scouting on the Paunsaugunt for an archery mule deer hunt. I also used it during the hunt for scouting areas I wasn't hunting each day.

The camera can be set to capture image sizes from 3mp to 8mp. I selected 8mp for the zooming purposes, loaded my 4 gig sd card, and let it rip.
The camera also records video, but I opted for my needs to just capture still pictures.

After using the camera for 2 months, I've come away with the opinion that this Bushnell Trophy HD Trail Camera is a fine piece of equipment. I have no complaints at all, and trust me, I'd tell you if I did.

It was extremely easy to use and the images of bucks that it captured were great. I would definitely recommend this camera to anyone looking to purchase and make use of trail cameras. I honestly can't say if I'll be buying any because most areas I hunt, trailcam's aren't much help. But, when it comes to scouting wallows, waterholes, etc. these cameras are sweet.
