I've seen a lot of boot posts in the past. And read most of them. Based on some of the reviews, and a friend's advice, I bought a pair of Kenetrek Extreme Hunter non-insulated boots this past August. I liked the boots right off of the bat. During archery elk season they were great. Antelope and rifle elk seasons didn't change my mind. BUT chukar season was a different experience. 6-8 hours hiking on rocks and the balls of my feet got sore. My friend had told me to go to Cabelas and get a pair of Miendl cork boot inserts when I bought the boots. After the balls of my feet got sore the first time I bought a pair of cheap gel soles. These were better than stock but after about 5-6 hours in the rocks, I got sore again. I finally made it to Cabelas the first weekend of December and bought the inserts. The 10 1/2 inserts wouldn't fit in the 10 1/2 boots. I took them back and got size 10 inserts for my 10 1/2 boots.

They are now the best foots I've ever owned!!!!!

I just wanted to share my personal experience. If you follow this advice, I hope you get the same results.

After a 3 day chukar hunt that totalled 14 hours of walking on steep side hills, deep snow drifts, snow covered rocks and everyting else the nevada sesert has to offer in the winter, I feel the same way about the boots. Great investment, finally!!!!

Very good boot. Took some time and miles to break them in, but it was worth it. Ive had them in all kinds of terrain and weather and seems to work great here in AZ. Thanks for sharing your opinions and findings.
