Has anyone bought or used one of these tents? I am interested in buying one and would love some feedback before doing so.

Thanks

I have had a 12X14 Davis wall tent for 4 years and love it. It has been set in the woods for about 60-70 days total and had only 1 small hole in it from a branch falling on it. Spoke to them at the SLC ISE show about buying a larger tent. I would highly recomend them.

I have one and I love it.I went from a comper to a tent and would not go back.Make sure that you get one that is big enough. And a wood stove.

Last summer our group bought (2) complete 16x20 tents with stoves and the angle kits. We cut our own frame based on the measurements provided by Davis tents.

Best investment I've made in many years! We used ours in Ca in X3B last year and then both tents in Colorado 3rd season last year. Spent a total of 3 weeks in them. The quality and construction are both top notch and Rick @ Davis Tents was great to work with.

Send me a PM if you want to give me a call

We have had one for 5 or 6 years a 14 or 16x20 that sleeps four guys on cots very comfortably with the stove ,and two tables. The tent is used about 2 weeks a year and we have never had a problem with it.I would highly recommend buying from them they make a quality product.

For those of you who have seen both; how do you think the Davis tents compare to the Cabelas Outfitter tents (I think Montana Canvas and Frames make 'em)?

Bought mine directly from Montana Canvas @ the RMEF show in Reno a few years ago (probably 5) My only complaint is now that the tent shrunk, I have to dig out the 6 legs so the tent walls will sit on the ground. Have thought about cutting the legs down but haven't yet. Have several friends with them and they all like um.

Had an external frame for years and you could adjust the height by the ropes. Guess I was spoiled.

We have 5 Davis tents in our hunting camp, ranging in age from 2 years to 30 years of age. All have been in service every year and surely are our home away from home. I would recommend the Davis products without reservation to anyone interested. They are of excellent quality and will likely outlast me if they are treated with the same care we have given over the years. The folks at Davis are a pleasure to work with, which makes the ordering and purchasing a very positive part of the whole camp experience. I just love camping and sleeping in a good wall tent.

My last post on this is from 5 years ago and since I have cut the legs down on my Montana Canvass one. BUT I'll buy Davis next time. My friends that have Davis' don't have that problem.

I do use mine 4-6 weeks a year. We even set it up for week long summer vacations. Great in cold weather, not so much in hot weather.

I use a wood stove 90% of the time but have a "Big Buddy" and a "Lil Buddy" propane heater for early season archery type hunts when there are no fires allowed. But in cold, wet weather, the wood is the way to go.
