Garmin E-Trex 20 user friendly and a ton of gps for the money. Check it out on Cabela's....we have 4 and you can down load to waypoints to a topo program from Garmin if you decide later you want to get into that. On sale $ 179 and off sale $199. Best quality bang for your buck.

Good hunting.

If you have a smartphone, you can get an app that will work much cheaper than a new GPS. It has some limitations but I started using mine last year and loved not having to take a camera, video recorder, GPS, and phone separately! Some apps are free and some you pay minimal for. BTW, phone GPS's do work without a cell tower signal.
