horn hunter full curl VS badlands ox

has anybody used both? whats everyones thoughts and expierences?

I have the the hornhunter full curl system. I like the fact that with the system you can pack in than just use the frame with the daypack. I also have the meat sack that attatches to the frame. I think it is a well thought out pack that is way underated.

agreed, i have just the frame and plan on getting the system. I cant tell you how well it carries until you try it for yourself. Badlands makes a great product but why spend 500 bucks when you can get the horn hunter system for under 270 in a few places if you shop around.

I have the Full Curl, and have put it to the test. This pack has performed! I have hauled loads that were heavier than I care to ever carry again, and it has done it without a hitch. No broken buckles, stitching or anything. Horn Hunter is made in the USA, and Badlands is made in Vietnam, which may explain why the quality is so good. I love this pack, and will buy another if/when this one ever gives up.

I use my Horn Hunter Full Curl System for just about everything. All the different configurations you can do with this pack make it adaptable to any hunt.


Warranty:
Ox = Lifetime with Great Customer Service

Full Curl = Lifetime with Great Customer Service


Size:
Ox = 4400 cu/in (Feels big on your back IMHO)

Full Curl = 5000 cu/in (Slim design makes it feel compact)


Comfort:
Ox = Felt comfortable to me but definitely feels like a frame pack. (I haven't used it with a heavy load)

Full Curl = Has been a very comfortable pack. Never had a problem with heavy loads, transfers weight to hips perfectly and no shoulder strain at all.


Function:
Ox = Great pack for hauling in all your gear to spike camp and great pack for hauling a pile of meat. Not a daypack.

Full Curl = Great for hauling in all your gear to spike camp, remove the duffle bag portion using just daypack/frame for all day trips plus haul as much meat as you dare.


Price:
Ox = New about $500

Full Curl = New about $300



This is just my comparison and maybe for your style of hunting the Ox is the way to go. When I compare the two for my type of hunting I go with Horn Hunter all the way.
