Hello All,

In the market for purchasing a bino harness, appreciate any input on a harness thats durable and will last awhile.

Thank you,

Mark

LAST EDITED ON Dec-30-14 AT 09:08AM (MST)[p]I would strongly recommend the new KUIU bino harness Works & fits great I have had Crooked horn & several others thru the years they always bunch up around your neck especially when wearing a pack .& they always stretch put & break the plastic clips .. the KUIU system I have used 5 or 6 times since I got it & you don't hardly even know its there .. this is by far the best bino system I have owned Hands down !!

LAST EDITED ON Dec-30-14 AT 10:24PM (MST)[p]Make sure to watch the instruction video on the KUIU harness before you try it on. A lot of guys wear it wrong and then don't like the way it fits. Worn correctly it is awesome.

What makes it different than the Crooked Horn or Cableas harness? I have used both for years and think they are just fine. Just curious.....

Here is a picture of my buddy with a setup similar to the one you mention. Notice how it hangs over his midsection. The KUIU harness rides high on your chest and is held firmly in place where it doesn't bounce while jogging or sag while crawling after an animal.

The KUIU is also made without elastic (which soaks up water and degrades over time) and is much more comfortable for me to wear while shooting a bow. It is just my personal preference.

I understand. With no elastic, the straps have no give? They offer just enough material to bring them up to your eyes and back down?

I kind of like the being able to crawl without having the binos bouncing off of the ground. They are pretty pricy though. Thanks.

the elastic made models all stretch & you can readjust them over & over & they still stretch & bounce . I have had them hang up in brush or rocks trying too crawl or stalk in on a critter during bow season . The KUIU has TWO options to use theirs with the protective case or with out . There is NO ELASTIC to stretch there is NO bounce you can adjust them to fit higher or lower & they stay there AT least mine have so far I have bought 2 crooked horn straps in the last 4 years they are $20 a piece even at Walmart & I also bought a Badlands it was over $80 on sale the KUIU is $85 for their large model !! I don't think u can get the Badlands version with the protective case now for under $100 Get one you wont be disappointed !!!

I also have had a bunch of the others, but now I use the Kuiu and it is by far, MY FAVORITE. It mostly stays right where I want it to be, and doesn't bounce around. It is much better if you ever hunt on a horse IMO. I always hated getting my binoculars pounded on a saddle horn.
