So, unless you are an unknown poor person with no ties to any outfitter or organization you should have no chance at drawing???

Lots of sour grapes from nimrods with "tag envy" in my opinion!
Odds are odds and anyone can win fairly, including the rich and famous.

They usually come away from the expo with a tag or two. But they usually buy them at the auction.

Could there be a fix? Maybe. But just because Heather drew doesn't mean it wasn't legit.

I'm no lover of SFW, and they certainly haven't earned my trust. But it would be ballsy to rig the draw. I've heard a lot of theories. But I'm not sure I buy it.

Utah got away with blatantly rigging the contract process for who runs the expo, after that level of corruption, giving tags to friends and family is the easy part.

I just saw it and posted it to see what people thought I didn't put in this year nor will I till rmef hopefully takes over so I have no dog in the fight I understand Rich and famous people will draw so will the average joe I'm just saying from that post it seems a little fishy

I'll bet most of the Tags Will & Heather ended up with at the EXPO over the years were Auction Tags rather than being Lucky in the Draw!

They don't put the statewide deer and elk tags in the draw. Those are the tags they have both hunted on more than once. So I know they have purchased multiple auction tags from the expo. I am just trying to remember the pictures I've seen posted with them. They may have bought both two years in a row, if I remember correctly, with Will taking the deer and Heather the elk.

That would definitely suck to have that much cash to use on hunting. (NOT!)

The uneducated and jealous are just spouting off again.
Way too many folks looking over shoulders to pull any drawing shenanigans. Besides, she has as much "right" to the tag and the next person.

They are drawn by a neutral third party who handles this sort of thing in an effort to eliminate any of the confusion that some of you are having.

I didn't win a tag either but I'm bright enough to know there's no favoritism in a third-party random drawing process.

Some got lucky. I didn't. Simple as that.

If only that were true, but the lots at JEPC this year were filled with the big 6 as always (TN, AL, LA, MS, GA & MI). But I also seen plates from NC, NH, VT, MD, FL, TX, CO, NM, UT, AZ & CA to mention a few. This was just at ONE state property here, which is on a lottery for nonresidents.
