Do I need more General Deer points?

I'm a nonresident who has been applying for 12 years for elk and desert sheep. I've bought 3 general buck deer points over the years, figuring I'll hunt for deer again in the general season one of these years. Is there any advantage to purchasing another point each year until I'm ready to apply for the hunt or is 3 plenty?

The critters have to win every time. I only have to win once.
 
Buy three more, then when you want to hunt you can apply as a group with a friend or family member and you can both hunt. Did this with my son a couple yrs ago (he's the NR) had a great time.
