Sorry to get you guys excited, no hits yet. I just wanted to start a thread so we can post when cards do start getting hit. I am hoping for a roadless BC tag. Good luck to everyone!

I've got 10 non resident points.....hoping to draw the San Juan spring tag. Good luck to you guys!

I am in for San Juan with 10 points as a NR as well. I am looking for the fall tag though. I had forgot about the bear. Let's hope for hits soon.

Good luck Robb. I think it would be cool to see you get that tag. You have spent a lot of time in that area and certainly know it well.

Good luck to everybody else as well.

I wouldn't be surprised to see CC's being charged today.

I'M IN FOR PREMIUM NEBO BEAR WITH 11PTS
MY BROTHER IS IN WITH 12PTS
HOPING WE GET LUCKY AND PUT A TAG THIS YEAR BUT WERE PROBABLY STILL A COUPLE YEARS OUT.

The proclamation says March 11Th for results(emails)so I'm thinking cc hits within a day or two?

LAST EDITED ON Mar-07-16 AT 03:29PM (MST)[p]Last year cards got hit three days before they were posted. I'm thinking it might be the same this year. If that is the case tomorrow we would see cards get hit. However, I sure hope it is today!

I have an 83$ hit on my card! Looks like I'm one of the 4 to hunt the Manti South this spring. 10 points.

LAST EDITED ON Mar-08-16 AT 08:23PM (MST)[p]Shoot, I don't think I drew. Based on last years numbers I was next in line for a tag. I guess somebody switched over. Congrats to all who drew out!

OTC Bear in Wyoming?

My 2nd to the youngest daughter drew a resident bear tag!!!! At least that's the text I received from her husband a couple days ago. They're pretty dang happy.
I only applied for a point this year (now up to 16) because there was a real chance she'd draw and I want to spend my time helping her rather than competing. I'll look at my options for next year and pop for a tag.
Good luck to you all.
Zeke

Geez, Zeke, you know this is NOT an elk tag. You dont need 16 or 17 points. You and my friend are competing for the most bear points in the state I guess. He has 16 too, and only bought a point 'cuz he wasnt sure what tag he wanted, again.

I have 10, or had 10. I think I now have 11. Ill never catch you guys.

I know! I'm pretty dumb for acquiring that many points but I don't want to miss out on a tag when I decide I want one.
I'm having a hard time convincing the wife that I need just one more when I already have over a dozen!
You're about at the top of the heap too, Robiland! You just need to decide when and where.
Good luck bro!
Zeke

Still no hit for the tag. I am guessing no joy for me. It's all over but the email. My 1st un-successful of the season but not my last...

Zeke, When you get double the points that you need, perhaps you may be able to get guided for free if you let the guide put in with you. The guide gets a tag for himself with little to no points and you get a free guide for letting him use your points.

Heartshot,
I never even thought about that! ha
I'll probably just share with one of my daughters or son's-in-law and go have some fun.
Zeke

It's OK Zeke,
My son and I both didn't draw with 15 points.

I guess we like to have people feel sorry for us...kind of like Bess with elk!

LBH,
Really Bro?
15 points each and you didn't draw?
Wow! I guess I'll quit feeling bad that I now have 16...same as you.
Zeke

Congrats to all those who drew!-

Book Cliffs Bitter Creek-Spring for me.

First bear hunt ever-should be fun.

Truthfully the only reason I applied for this specific hunt is because I got lucky and drew an EXPO muzzy deer tag and figured this hunt would be a good time getting to know the area better. Probably will do spot and stock for the first few weeks then if no luck by then find somebody with dogs later.

Seems like I might be public enemy #1 for admitting on here that I drew an expo tag with all of the expo commotion going on this year but that being said any advice from those that have hunted a lot of bear in the books this time of year anything would be gladly welcomed. Thanks

If you decide you want dogs to be able to find a good boar, give us a call. We run the Book Cliffs with dogs every spring regardless if we have a kill tag or not. Also, congrats on the expo deer tag. The muzzleloader deer hunt is great.

I had 10 non resident point going in for the San Juan spring bear hunt and thought it was a sure thing according to bonus point data from the past couple of years. Somebody must have switched hunts or been building a bunch of point?
