NonRes screwup

Due to a lot of family issues I screwed up and missed the app deadline. I had 13 points for deer going in for 2016. I was only going to do a bonus point anyway. My question is will I lose all my points now? Is it possible I could still apply for the BP? Last, if I'm able to still keep the points, what hunt in rifle, archery or MZ be the best chance at drawing for 2017. I'm at the point now that I'd rather just burn them and quit Utah. Or any advise on how to go forward? Thanks for any info you can provide...

I do believe the deadline even just for bonus points is done. Go to www.wildlife.utah.gov for the information. You can also find all the draw odds on that site to see which tags you have a decent chance at for next year. Also, pretty sure you won't lose your points. Good luck.

You should be ok. I believe you have to go two years without applying to lose your bonus points. Good luck next year.

You missed out on the points this year. Nothing you can do about that. However, you will not lose any points if you apply or buy next year. I believe you only lose if you dont apply for 5 consecutive years, or something like that.
Check out toprut.com That will give you odds and good info.

A few years ago they implemented that you would lose all points after 3 years of not putting in, but then on the 3rd year they canceled it and now you will not lose your points unless you draw a tag. Unless they changed it again but I have not herd anything about it in a couple years.

DWR confirmed I'm too late for this years bonus but I won't lose them. Didn't ask how many years before you will lose them. Thanks again for the info MMers.
