Big Bucks of St. George

I'm heading down on a business trip next week and will be bored as heck during the evenings. Is there anywhere near St. George that I can go look at big bucks or sheep or anything with horns/antlers? I kind of want to take a few hikes or something and just get out and explore but not too far from St. George. I will have a little rental car, so no off-roading.

Does anybody have any ideas?

Thanks,

HJB

Out south west of bloomington you can usually find sheep

up by enterprise is easy access for deer if you just have a car

Take lots of water its been 110+ the last few days

Is it just deer and sheep you want to see or are you looking for anything else?

If you have time, do the Zion's Angle's Landing hike and skip looking at velvety bucks unless you're going to hunt there.

So many things to do while you're there other than dedicating it to critters....but that's just me.

Whatever you do have fun, be safe and have great/productive business meetings!

What else do you have in mind? I'm open to anything.

Thanks for the replies.

HJB,
I had in mind taking in some of the awesome hikes in Zion park where you'll probably see deer and possible sheep so take your binos. Spend some time eating crab and throwing back a beer in Mequite, and look for sheep in the Virgin River Gourge but watch the road with the other eye or take a drive through Snow canyon. Your choice to look for animals is cool for sure but this time of year i'd look at the dual approach.
For a trip like yours, I'd be a bit of a "tourist" and always keep my binos handy. Maybe just a little different paradigm.
Have a great trip,
Zeke
