Cottontail Rabbits

Anyone have a good spot for them this year--mine seems like a bust. I live in the Riverton area so would love to get some information---PM me if need be thanks

Drive any direction until you see sagebrush and then go hunt. they are everywhere this year.

Ton out west of Nephi, Out there pretty regulerly. See them all the time and a ton of jacks too.

We went out by eureka the day after Christmas, and only killed 2. There were a ton of tracks, but snow was deep and I think they were staying in their holes. Hope some others respond with constructive posts. I really want to make some smoked rabbit this year.

Best time to hunt them is in the last 3 hours of the day, especially after a couple days after a good snow. My favorite areas are piles of big rocks surrounded by sage. They also like to be in and around cedars.
