Its about 8 or 9 of us that applied for general season deer as non residents and looks like were not hunting utah this year hope nevada brings better luck

I don't believe there are many general tags you can't get with just 1 or 2 points so either your first year applying or put in for the few hunts they require more? Also all general hunts are on preference point systems so simply whoever has the most points gets the tags.

Zion and Pine valley, id say about 4 of us it was our first time applying and the rest had about 1 or 2 points each

10 in my family all unsuccessful and we are residents. 5 of us had a point. Pine Valley rifle. We have always drawn every other year, but I guess those days are gone. I'm guessing most put in for rifle with the new PP system.

I believe Zion takes 5 points to draw

Zion definitely doesn't take 5. From what I'm looking at it only takes 2 for Zion and 3 for pine valley rifle. I'm thinking you guys must have averaged lower than you think. Check everyones points and let us know.
