Leftover tags affect on points

Anyone know where I can find out wether or not I lose my points if i buy a leftover?

Searched all over Utah's website and cannot find anything stating either way with the new perference point change.

Might pick up a cow tag depending what's available but do not want to lose my 3 pts for a tag I do not 100% desire.

Any OTC tag for cow elk does not use up your preference points when purchased

Buying leftover permits of any kind does not remove preference points nor bonus points.

If you purchase a LE leftover tag, you lose your bonus points and get thrown into a waiting period. It only applies to GS or antlerless tags

I stand corrected! Sorry, I didn't see the *note below the list of remaining tags. Thanks for the correction.
